Welcome to Platteville Seniors!

Transportation

Great news! If you're a senior needing a ride for appointments, transportation is now available in our area through Via Mobility. Our service operates Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, offering rides to a variety of destinations. To schedule your ride or for further information, please call us at 303-444-3043.

Drop-In Activities

At Platteville Seniors, we have a plethora of activities to choose from! Whether you enjoy cards, games, puzzles, sewing, crafting, playing pool, or crocheting/knitting, we've got something for everyone.

Supportive Services

We've partnered with the Platteville Gilcrest Fire Protection District to provide supportive services, including blood pressure checks (held on the 3rd Monday of the month before senior lunch). Additionally, we offer Foot Care Services every other month on the 3rd Friday. To schedule your foot care appointment, call or text Cindy directly at 970-222-4573.

General Interest

Join us for our monthly craft classes on Tuesdays (check out the current newsletter for more detailed information). We also host visits from the Platteville Library and offer various educational and informative classes/programs throughout the year.

Special Events

Throughout the year, we host a variety of social and engaging events, such as Tuesday Evening Meals (May through August), Cinco de Mayo Dinner and a Show, End of Summer BBQ, Ice Cream Socials, Volunteer Appreciation, and more!

Activities and Programs

Stay up-to-date with all our activities by subscribing to our monthly newsletters. To receive a newsletter in the mail, contact the Senior Center Monday to Friday, between 9:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Day Trips

Join us for approximately 50 day trips throughout the year! These trips include a range of recreational activities, visits to museums, dinner/theatre outings, casino trips, restaurant excursions, shopping adventures, and other fun venues.

Extended Travel

Twice a year, we embark on two overnight trips. These trips vary in length from 2 to 3 nights and include transportation, hotel accommodations, and admission to attractions. For more information on upcoming travel opportunities, call or stop by the Senior Center.

Senior Nutrition Lunch

Join us for weekly meals served on Mondays and Fridays through the Weld County Area Agency on Aging. Lunch is served at 11:30 am, with socializing prior to the meal. Reservations are required no later than Thursday at 11:00 am by calling 720-815-8136. A suggested donation of $5.00 is appreciated for seniors aged 60 and older.
